Minor Policy

At ArtizenLive, we deeply value the talent and creative spirit of young performers. While offering them a platform to shine, we are equally committed to ensuring their safety, well-being, legal protection, and compliance with Indian child labour laws, including the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986 (as amended), guidelines issued by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), and relevant regulations under the Government of West Bengal.

Minor Artist refers to any performer, musician, or entertainer under the age of 18 who is contracted or engaged for an event through ArtizenLive.

Policy Requirements

The below policies must be followed by the minor artists or their parents in order to receive bookings through our platform.

1. Parental Consent & Supervision

  • Written consent must be obtained from a parent or legal guardian for the participation in any event
  • A parent/legal guardian must co-sign all contracts and agreements
  • Emergency contact and medical information must be provided before the event
  • A parent/legal guardian must accompany the minor at all times during rehearsals, performances, and travel
  • All activities must comply with local labour laws regarding minors

2. Working Hours & Schedule

Events involving minor artists will follow strict schedules:

  • Max daily working hours: 5 hours
  • Rest Intervals: Adequate meal breaks and rest period will be provided
  • Curfew: No performances after 7:00 PM, unless prior approval is obtained and the minor is accompanied by a guardian

3. Education Priority

  • Events scheduled during school days or hours must not interfere with the child's education unless permitted by relevant authorities
  • Proof of academic standing or school permission may be required for extended engagements

4. Transportation & Safety

  • Transportation arrangements for minor artists must be authorized by a parent or guardian
  • Unaccompanied travel will only be allowed with notarized consent and a verified chaperone plan
  • Parents/guardians may be required to sign liability waivers and health declarations
  • ArtizenLive is not responsible to ensure appropriate insurance coverage for working with minors

5. Code of Conduct & Protection

  • Minor artists must adhere to a professional code of conduct
  • Inappropriate behaviour from staff, crew, or other performers toward minors will result in disciplinary action and possible legal reporting

6. Financial Terms

  • All payments for minor artists will be made exclusively to the verified bank account of the parent or legal guardian
  • Earnings must be used strictly for the welfare of the child, in accordance with ethical financial practices and Indian regulations
